The updated Malco Marine & RV branding ensures better product alignment across the marine and RV detailing line, but the formula remains unchanged — still one of the most efficient heavy‑cut compounds for removing deep sanding marks on gel coat and solid surfaces.

We recommend pairing this compound with twisted wool pads for maximum cut, especially on production gel coats. Single ply wool compounding pads will not be as effective as a twisted wool pad.

MAX Production Compound performs best when worked in small, controlled 2 ft x 2 ft sections at 1400–2200 RPM. This RPM range allows the abrasive system to cut efficiently without overheating the surface. The compound is designed for use with twisted wool pads, which provide the aggressive bite needed to remove P600 and finer sanding scratches on gel coat and solid surfaces.

For optimal performance, apply only a small 2-inch dab to the pad. Overloading the pad reduces cutting efficiency and can leave excess residue. After compounding, always remove residue with a damp microfiber cloth—this helps prevent haze and ensures a clean surface for your follow-up polishing step.

To complete the system, follow with MAX Finishing Polish or Presta Ultra Polish.
