Product Description

Epifanes Gray Bilge Paint 2000ml (BPG.2000) is a durable, one‑component protective coating designed for bilge spaces, engine rooms, chain lockers, and other interior areas where a tough, moisture‑resistant paint system is essential.

Formulated for use on steel, wood, fiberglass (GRP), and aluminum when paired with the appropriate Epifanes one‑component primer. This coating provides excellent adhesion, impact resistance, and long‑term protection in demanding marine environments.

Easily applied by brush, roller, or spray for smooth, even coverage.

Available in White and Gray colors, in both 750ml and 2000ml sizes.

Drying times depend on ventilation and film thickness. Horizontal surfaces and thicker coats may require additional time. Do not apply wet‑on‑wet.

Application Conditions

  • Temperature: 47°F–86°F
  • Relative Humidity: 50%–85%
  • Avoid direct sunlight and strong wind
  • Maximum 5°F difference between paint and substrate
  • Do not apply excessive wet film thickness

Spray Application Guidelines

  • Thinning: 10–15%
  • Nozzle Size: 1.5–1.8 mm
  • Pressure: 2–3 Bar
  • Viscosity: 20–24 seconds (DIN‑cup 4mm)

Surface Preparation

  • Fiberglass (GRP): Clean and degrease, sand P220–240, apply 1–2 primer coats.
  • Wood: Clean, sand P220–240, apply 1–2 primer coats.
  • Steel: Clean, remove corrosion, sand P60, apply 3 primer coats.
  • Aluminum: Clean, degrease, apply 1–2 primer coats.
