Product Description

Epifanes Rapidcoat Warm Tinted Semi‑Gloss Quick Drying Varnish (RC.750) provides fast, easy wood protection with no sanding required between coats. Rapidcoat is a one‑component modified alkyd/urethane wood finish designed for quick recoating, excellent durability, and a warm, lightly tinted semi‑gloss appearance.

Rapidcoat is nearly identical to Epifanes Rapidclear, with the only difference being its warm brown/teak tint. This tint enhances the natural grain of the wood and provides a rich, warm appearance.

Use Rapidcoat as a stand‑alone quick‑drying semi‑gloss system or as an enhancing base coat prior to applying traditional varnish systems. It bonds exceptionally well to teak and other oily woods, prevents discoloration, and offers excellent water resistance and flexibility.

Surface Prep & Application

Bare Wood:

Surface must be clean, dry, and free of grease
Degrease with Epifanes Brush Thinner or denatured alcohol
Do not use mineral spirits or water
Sand with 60–80 grit, then finish with 100–120 grit

Application:

Apply with a quality bristle brush
Foam brushes okay for small touch‑ups
Roll‑and‑tip method recommended for large flat areas
Apply 4–5 coats for a complete Rapidcoat system
No sanding required between coats
Recoatable in 5–6 hours

Maintenance

Maintenance is simple: clean the surface and apply 1–2 fresh coats as needed. No sanding required unless contamination is present.
