Product Overview:

Surf-ACE P-40 Xtra Ultra-Fine Finishing Glaze, 1Kg (711250) is designed for final finish polishing to remove hologram, swirls and light defects and is highly recommended for use on problematic dark colors. The new smaller 250ml package size is convenient for off-site travel and smaller projects.

Surf-ACE P-40 Xtra features unique DRA™ (Dynamic Response Abrasion) technology incorporating concentrated micro-precision oxides designed for final finish polishing to quickly and easily remove paintwork and gelcoat imperfections in the shortest possible time to enable the end user to deliver a unique depth of gloss and mirror like finish. 

Easy to apply, quick to buff and fast to clean. Produces a superb high gloss finish with no greasy effect and minimal die-back.

Safe for use on all automotive paint systems including, cellulose, single component and 2-pack acrylic clearcoats, MS/HS paint systems, ceramic clear coats, UV clear coats, and waterborne clear coats. 

Paint shop approved, P-12 is silicone and wax free.

P-12 is versatile and designed to work with both rotary and random orbital polishers. For best results, use with a soft finishing foam buff pad. May also be used by hand, applying with a 100% cotton finishing cloth and removing with a microfiber cloth.

Packaged in 250ml (8.45 fluid ounces) plastic bottles. Made in the UK.

Directions for Machine Use:

  • Rotary Machine Speed - between 1,000 to 2,000 rpm (free running) with soft lambswool or polishing black foam buff pads
  • DA Random Orbital Machine Speed - between 2,000 to 8,000 rpm
  • Select appropriate foam polishing/finishing buff pad for the particular application
  • Note: do not over apply or use excessive compound. For hologram removal, it is essential to keep polishing pads clean and separate from compounding pads. Any dust or compounding residue must be washed off vehicle before polishing.
  1. Apply P-40 in small quantities to the pad or paint surface in thin even layers (excessive product use is not beneficial and wasteful)
  2. Using the machine, polish up paint surface reducing the pressure as the film starts to clear
  3. Continue to float the surface with un-pressured pad and when clear finally remove any trace residues using microfiber polishing cloth

Directions for Hand Use:

  • Use 100% fine cotton cloth to avoid introducing any scratches to sensitive paint finishes. Shake container before use. Apply to paint surface, allow polish to haze dry for a minute, then buff to a high gloss finish using non-scratch microfiber polishing cloth.
