Surface Prep and Application Info:

Bare wood must be clean, dry, free of grease, etc. Degrease with Epifanes Brush Thinner for Varnish & Paint or denatured alcohol. Wiping down with mineral or white spirits is not recommended as it may leave an oily finish. Do not use water. Sand bare wood with 60 to 80 grit dry sandpaper with the grain of the wood. A sanding block may be used to assist in the fairing of the surface. Finish sand with 100 to 120 grit dry sandpaper. Brush application with a quality brush will leave good results. Foam brushes are convenient for small touch-up jobs but not recommended for larger projects. "Roll & Tip" is a great method for flat areas; use a 3" to 4" foam roller and quality bristle brush is the best combination.

Maintenance Info:

Maintenance is easy. Simply clean the surface and re-apply when needed. One or two coats is recommended each season.
