Product Overview

Fusor® T21 Composite Epoxy Adhesive, Slow, 210ml (3029750) is a two-component, epoxy-based adhesive engineered for bonding and repairing composite body panels. It is ideal for large assembly bonding of fairings, body panels, spoilers, ground effects, wind deflectors, roofs, fender liners, and other composite structures.

Fusor T21 is also suitable for repairing cracks, punctures, and tears in composite substrates. Its slow 45-minute work time provides ample open time for large repairs, complex assemblies, and heavy-duty truck applications.

Compatible substrates include fiberglass, SMC, carbon fiber, FRP, RTM, Metton®, GTX, and primed or E-coated metals.

OEM approvals and recommendations include GM, Ford, Paccar, Navistar, Mack, Volvo Truck, Peterbilt, Kenworth, and Freightliner.

Two-component cartridge is for use with the Fusor 502 Dual Cartridge Manual Applicator (sold separately).

Application Overview

Surface Preparation

Tape off exposed fibers to prevent wicking of cleaner.
Clean repair area with Fusor 703 adhesion prep/cleaner.
Create a backing patch for cracks or punctures using Fusor 702 fiberglass cloth and Fusor 100EZ/101EZ adhesive.
Sand back side of repair area with 80-grit.
Dish out and taper the front side of the repair area to eliminate square edges.

Adhesive Application

Dispense and level cartridge before use.
Apply adhesive to the repair area and spread evenly.
Use Fusor 704 saturation roller to remove air and seat the patch.
Heat set for 15–20 minutes at 180°F (82°C).

Finishing

Remove plastic film backing and rough sand.
Apply 114LG Plastic Finishing Adhesive for final cosmetic finishing if needed.
Heat cure entire repair area for 1 hour at 180°F (82°C).
Allow to cool before final sanding.
Prime and paint per manufacturer recommendations.
