Mirka MR‑508SGV 5" 8mm Self‑Generating Vacuum Random Orbital Pneumatic Air Sander is a powerful, aggressive sanding tool designed for rapid stock removal across automotive, marine, woodworking, and industrial applications. The 8mm (5/16") orbit delivers a wide, fast cutting action ideal for coarse sanding with 36–80 grit abrasives.

The MR‑508SGV supports two dust‑collection modes:

Self‑Generating Vacuum (SGV) — uses the included dust bag and integrated vacuum hose for dust‑free sanding without a dust extractor.
Central Vacuum / Dust Extractor — the sander’s vacuum port can be connected directly to a standard vacuum hose and dust extractor for continuous, high‑efficiency dust removal.
