Evercoat Tiger Hair Long Strand Fiberglass Reinforced Body Filler + Hardener, Quart Kit (101189) is the original long‑fiber, fiberglass‑reinforced filler engineered for extra‑high strength, severe heavy‑duty repairs, and bulk filling applications. Designed for demanding collision repair, restoration, marine, and structural composite work, Tiger Hair delivers exceptional reinforcement, crack resistance, and waterproof performance.

This long‑strand filler can be used with or without fiberglass mat or cloth, making it ideal for repairing shattered fiberglass, rusted metal, large holes, and high‑stress areas. Tiger Hair bonds strongly to steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, SMC, fiberglass, and most rigid plastics.

The polyester resin system provides strong adhesion, waterproof performance, and compatibility with all Evercoat cream hardeners.

Packaged kit includes US 0.8 quart (0.95 L) of Tiger Hair filler plus Blue Cream Hardener.

Mixing & Application Instructions

Preparation: Clean and degrease the repair area thoroughly. Remove paint and featheredge using 40–80 grit sandpaper. Ensure the surface is completely dry before applying filler.
Mixing: Mix Tiger Hair thoroughly before use. Knead the cream hardener. Add hardener at 2% by weight (a ribbon across a 4" diameter puddle of body filler). Larger puddles require additional hardener. Mix until a uniform color is achieved.
Application: Apply in layers using firm pressure to force material into the repair area. Do not apply all at once. Build gradually for best strength and stability.
Finish: Sand with 80‑grit sandpaper. Apply a finish coat of Evercoat lightweight body filler or polyester glazing putty for final shaping.
