Norton Blaze R980P 2" Ceramic Quick‑Change Discs – Type III (TR) are high‑performance grinding discs engineered for fast stock removal, weld blending, deburring, and surface preparation on 300 Series stainless, 400 Series stainless, and other tough alloys. Featuring Norton’s premium 100% Ceramic Alumina grain, Blaze discs deliver the highest cutting speed and longest life in the Norton lineup.

The R980P series uses an advanced self‑lubricating grain treatment for cooler cutting, reduced heat discoloration, and improved operator comfort. A heavy‑duty 3‑ply Y‑weight polyester laminate backing provides maximum durability, edge‑fray resistance, and aggressive grinding performance under high pressure.

These discs mount using a Type III (TR) roll‑on/roll‑off quick‑change attachment compatible with Roloc®‑style backup pads.
