Product Description:
Epifanes Classic Dutch Mahogany Stain (MHS.500) is specifically designed to penetrate bare mahogany and other fine marine woods.
This quick drying stain renders a beautiful warm, rich reddish-brown mahogany color. Depending on desired finished look, each coat will continue to darken the color of the stain; a maximum of 3 coats may be applied to bare.
Use on both interior and exterior woodwork above the waterline. Re-coatable after only 2 hours at 65°F. Dutch Mahogany Stain is re-coatable with all Epifanes 1 and 2-part varnishes.
It is possible to mix Epifanes Classic Mahogany Stain (maximum 10%) with Epifanes 1 and 2-part varnishes to create a lightly tinted finish for camouflaging color differences in an existing system. Do not thin this product.

Surface Prep | Clean wood and sand with 180 to 220 grit sandpaper. Degrease surface thoroughly with Epifanes Spray Thinner for Paint & Varnish or other suitable degreaser and allow to dry thoroughly; do not use water. |

Application Conditions | Temperature should be between 50F. and 85F. during application. Air humidity below 85%. Avoid staining in direct sun or hot conditions. Do not thin.
